Sheema district to construct headquarters in 3 years
Sheema District Local Government has launched the construction of the District headquarters worth Shs. 6.8 B.The district building when finished will house 100 offices for the District workers, District Council Hall among other offices and the work construction will take 3 years to be completed.
While launching the construction of the headquarters on Tuesday, 12, December, Tugabirwe Emmanuel, the Acting Commissioner for districts administration in the ministry of local government who also represented the minister of local government Repheal Magyezi expressed concerns on why some district workers have remained in acting positions for many years yet they should be promoted. He cited political interests, corruptions in officials of Sheema district service commission as major reasons why people are not promoted because such positions are left for their people of their interests.
John Patrick Niweabigaba, the sheema District Chief Administrative Officer assured people that they will use the 6.8b funds appropriately and do quality work within the required time.
