The Ministry of Disaster, Preparedness and Refugees have donated relief items to people who were affected by hailstorm in Sheema Municipality, Sheema District.

In April this year, residents of two villages (Kagongi and Oburama) in Kagango Division, Sheema Municipality were devastated after their crops, houses and animals were destroyed by heavy rains and hailstorm.

While delivering relief items including posho, beans at Kagongi Madrasat Primary School in Kagango Division, Rosemary Nyakikongoro the Sheema District Woman Member of Parliament hailed the government for providing relief items to the affected people. Residents hailed the government and leaders for donating food items as they were finding it hard toprovide food for their families.
