Police in Kampala Metropolitan Area are investigating circumstances under which two people lost their lives under unclear circumstances.

The incident happened in Mosque Zone, Kibuli Parish in Makindye Division, Kampala District where Senkungu Arnold,24, and Atwine Shina,21, tragically lost their lives in the morning of December 27, 2023. Reports indicate that the incident occurred at Ssenkungu Arnold's residence in Kabalagala, where Senkungu, a barber and Atwine, a student were found in distress by their neighbours.

Neighbours forced the door of Ssenkungu to open only to find Atwine lifeless with a deep neck wound and Ssenkungu succumbed to injuries at Kibuli Hospital. Deputy Police Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Area, Assistant Superintendent of Police Luke Owoyesigyire says police visited the crime scene, a new knife with fresh blood was recovered. ASP Owoyesigyire says investigations indicate that Atwine had confided in a friend about mistreatment and security is now ivestigationg about the Motive of the murder. The bodies were taken at Mulago Hospital City Mortuary pending post-mortem.
