Three arrested over burning vehicle
Police in Mitooma district are holding three people who are
said to have set fire onto a vehicle belonging to Alex Ahimbisibwe a
business man in Kashenshero Trading Center.

Police Spokesperson confirmed this incident that happened yesterday (July 13th)
at night.
Tumusiime has identified the suspects as Tayebwa Spencer,35,
a resident of Muronzi I village in Bwambala Sub
County in Rukungiri District, Mugisha James, 14, a pupil of Omuburama Primary
School and a resident of Omuburama Village in Bikurungu Sub
County in Rukungiri District and Nuwamanya Ananias,
20, a resident of the same address.
It is
alleged that the complainant (Ahimbisibwe) received a phone call from a one Kamasanyu the
manager of Smiles View bar and lodges informing him that his Vehicle reg no.
UBG 170V Tipper Elf was burning, he immediately rushed to the scene where he
found people using Extinguishing fire to put off the fire.
Ahimbisibwe identified Tayebwa Spencer and two others vacating the scene
prompting him to report to police who traced and arrested them from the lodge
of a one Kabarangira .
The shirt
of Mugisha (suspect) with suspected petrol smell was recovered and a matchbox
from Tayebwa Spencer was also recovered. It was
established that this is the second car of the complainant that was burnt as
last month, his vehicle reg no. UAN 335X Tipper was also burnt.
Investigations are ongoing as the suspects are still being held by Police.
Tumusiime said
that it was established that Tayebwa Spencer (Suspect) is a witness in an
ongoing court case of Doing Grievous Harm between the complainant and Masazi Geoffrey
of Rukungiri district.
