Police have confirmed the arrest of a man who is said to have been abusing the Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom.

The suspect Ibrahim Musana, 27, is a resident of Kauga in Mukono and was arrested following his video clips of TikTok abusing Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom Ronald Mwenda Mutebi went viral. While using his TikTok account, Musana last week was seen abusing the Kabaka and Buganda and these videos, were condemned by public that called for security intervention.

While speaking to media today at police headquarters Naguru, Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga confirmed the arrest of Musana noting that Directorate of Crime Intelligence arrested the suspect on different cases including defamation of Kabaka and Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga.

Following his arrest, Enanga said Musana was later handed over to Criminal Investigations Directorate and detectives are still investigating him on different cases including misuse of social media, hate speech, offensive communication and incitement to violence.
