A shock has enveloped the Christian community in Masheruka following the announcement of the death of Ven. Rev. Moses Turyaguma, the Archdeacon of Masheruka Archdeaconry in the West Ankole Diocese.

Ven. Rev. Joseph Mweyungye, the Secretary of the West Ankole Anglican Diocese, reported that Ven. Rev. Moses Turyaguma passed away in the wee hours of Tuesday (December 24th) at Bushenyi Medical Centre in Sheema District.

The 53-year-old reverend was rushed to the hospital on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Prior to his appointment in Masheruka in 2022, Rev. Turyaguma served as the Archdeacon of Mitooma Archdeaconry as well as the Greater Bushenyi and Kabwohe Archdeaconries.

He was last seen on the 21st during the commissioning of the refurbished Bishop's office.
