Police arrest two suspects over theft of cows
Police Nakasongola
District have arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of three cows.
The suspects, Senyonga Eric and Kwizera Frank are said to have stolen
three cows belonging to Mwesigye James, a resident
of Kyabaganga village in Nakasongola District.
The three cows were
stolen on the night of September 10, 2024 and were transported in a
white Toyota Alphard, registration number UBP 060M. Police commenced with
investigations, apprehended Senyonga and Kwizera, and the
impounding of the vehicle.
Following investigations by police, three cows
were recovered hidden in Kiryandongo District. The suspects were
convicted and sentenced to three years' imprisonment at Nakasongola Government
Prison.
