Two Karamojong warriors suspected to have participated in the killing of a police officer and robbing his gun, have been arrested by security agencies.

The suspects are Lomuria Lochomin and Lokol Loita, both residents of Kalapata Sub County in Kaabong district and these are said to have killed a police officer, PC Ocen Moris on January 12th, 2024, and robbing his gun.

In a statement released today by Mt Moroto Regional Police Spokesperson Michael Longole, on Sunday, January 14th, 2023,  joint security forces conducted a search operation in Morudukae West village, Kalapata parish, Kalapata Sub County in Kaabong District where two suspects were arrested and later led security teams to where they had hidden the gun SMG rifle with 60 rounds of ammunitions.

Security agencies recovered the gun and investigations have commenced.
