Police in Sheema District are investigating circumstances under which a 26 year old woman was allegedly raped and murdered.

The deceased has been identified as Shallot Turyahabwe, a resident Nyabubare 1 in Bugongi Town Council, Sheema district who has been working as a waitress in one of the hotels in Kabwohe town. The incident happened in market cell, kabwohe division, Sheema Municipality.

Paul Muhenda the OC CID Sheema Police Station says the deceased was last seen in a bar in kabwohe town in the wee hours of Monday, April 22nd, with a yet to be identified people before she was raped and murdered. He cautioned landlords to install security lights on their buildings in away of avoiding such criminals to do such criminals acts.

The deceased's body has been conveyed to Kabwohe Health Centre IV for postmortem as investigations into the matter continues as well searching for the suspects who involved themselves in raping and murdering this lady.
