Tributes have continued to flow since the news broke indicating the death of the first Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese, Paul Kamuza Bakyenga. Archbishop Emeritus Bakyenga passed away at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala on Tuesday at the age of 79.
Ankole Bishops have shared fond recollections of his role in different aspects of life. Rt. Rev. Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni who is the Bishop of West Ankole diocese said the late was a man who rendered his full life to the ministry of church.
The South Ankole diocese, Rt. Rev. Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe described the late as a role model for all the religious leaders, who loved and welcomed people regardless of their faith.
The North Ankole diocese, Rt. Rev. Bishop Steven Namanya described the late as a down to earth person who did not consider himself on top of others while serving God.
