Bukimbiri county Member of Parliament, Hon. Eddie Kwizera Wagahugu has been commended for his support towards developmental projects in Kisoro district.

The comments were made yesterday by the construction leadership of Iryaruvumba Eye Clinic and Health Centre in Iryaruvumba Archdeaconry, Muhabura diocese and this follows an extraordinary fundraising at the archdeaconry where over 88 million shillings were raised to facilitate construction activities at the Clinic.

Hon. Eddie Kwizera Waguhugu mobilised for a contribution amounting to over 51 million shillings, 58% of the total collection on that day. Speaking to our reporter, the Chairperson Construction committee, Tumuheirwe John, commended Hon. Kwizera for his lobbying superiority that made him contribute much more money than what the committee expected from the entire fundraising activity.

He also appreciated the diocese of Muhabura led by Bishop Godfrey Mbitse for the visionary leadership and support towards the eye clinic project, noting that the project is likely to be completed in this year.
