Police hunt for assailants following murder of boda boda rider in Bushenyi
Police in bushenyi District are hunting for unknown assailants who murdered a 35 year old and took his motorcycle.
Wilson Asiimwe, a resident of Nyakatooma Village in Kyamuhunga Town Counci, Bushenyi district was murdered by a yet to be identified people who took his motorcycle, Reg. No UFJ 719J. Asiimwe was a boda boda rider in Butare Ward, Kyamuhunga T/C, Bushenyi District.
Reports indicate that the deceased was last seen on April 23rd at Butare boda boda stage where he picked a passenger and was seen heading towards Ishaka direction but he didn't return back until when his body was seen dumped in the farm of a resident Sarah Muhebwa along Nyamirembe river. Asiimwe's body was discovered by a fisherman Kamukama celestine who immediately notified Police.
Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson, Martial Tumusiime confirmed this incident noting that police have commenced with investigations and hunting of suspects who murdered Asiimwe and took his motorcycle.
