Police in Bushenyi district are mourning one of their own who died in an accident last night.

The deceased identified as Corporal, Vicent Opolot attached to Traffic Police Bushenyi, was riding motorcycle Reg. No UP 6665 heading to Ishaka from Bushenyi when he hit a pothole along Bushenyi -kasese road and sustained serious injuries.

Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, Martial Tumusiime confirmed the incident saying Opolot was rushed to Kampala International Hospital- Ishaka where he breathed his last from a few moments. His body is still at this hospital pending postmortem as inquires into the accident continue.
