Police in Kampala are investigating circumstances under which a man was assaulted in a viral video that was captured on CCTV Camera. According to Police, the footage shows a man identified as Mugisha Tomson, 40, and a resident of Kyebando, being assaulted by unidentified assailants.

The incident happened around Ben Kiwakuka Street at 8 PM on May 22nd, 2024 and investigations indicate that the victim was robbed Shs.450,000 UGX, a bag containing important documents, keys, and a container.

Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Area, Luke Owoyesigyire has confirmed the incident noting that they have so far arrested two suspects who are currently detained at Kampala Central Police Station as investigations continue.
