Casual worker allegedly kills 65 year old employer

Man on run over murder of 65 year old woman in Sheema

Police in sheema District are hunting for a casual worker who is alleged to have killed his 65 year old employer.

The suspect is Mutebi Muzafaru, a casual worker and a resident of Kishoroza cell, Kashozi division in Sheema Municipality. He is alleged to have hacked his employer Mwigarire Imelda 65 ,with an axe on the head killing her instantly.

Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident that happened on January 18th, 2024 in kimondo 2 village in Kitagata Town Council, Sheema District.

Reports say the suspect had started working at the home of the deceased on sunday, 14th January, 2024 as a domestic worker and the deceased's husband stays in kasese where he has business.

That day when the murder incident happened, neighbours were suspicious when they could not see Muzafaru and his employer, this prompted neighbours to inform the husband on phone and the police.

Martial says Kitagata Police responded to the scene, found the kitchen locked with two padlocks, and upon breaking the door, they found the deceased lying in the pool of blood dead.

John Rwomushana, 70, a husband to the deceased says some home property like a flat screen, hoofers were taken by the suspect .

The body of the deceased has been conveyed to Kitagata hospital for postmortem as inquiries into the matter and search of the suspect continue.
