Police in Isingiro District are investigating circumstances that led to the murder of Chairman LCII Nyamitsindo Parish in Mash Sub county, Isingiro District Byenyinemwe Ben 64.

Four suspects including Kiconco Sylivia, 56, wife of the deceased, Katushabe Aloysious 40, Yebuuze Ronald 33, both sons to the deceased and Tukwatanise Moses 30, a neighbour have been arrested to help police with investigations.

On October, 22, 2023, Police of Masha received information from a one Kato, the defence secretary of Nyamitsindo Parish regarding the murder of the Chairman LCII and Police dispatched team of officers rushed to the scene and found the deceased's body lying on his bed in a pool of blood with a deep cut on the neck. The wife of the deceased informed police that the assailants attacked her husband while she was in the store and only met three individuals coming out of the house that also assaulted her as they fled the scene.

When the Police Canine dog was introduced to the scene of crime it led the officers to Nyakagyera cell Kabingo Sub County about 10kms from the scene entering the house of his son Yebuuze Ronald and later proceeded to the house of Tukwatanise Moses his neighbours.

According to preliminary investigations, the couple had developed Domestic misunderstandings after the deceased married a second wife. The body of the deceased was taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem and the four suspects are currently in Police Custody at Isingiro Police Station as investigations are still ongoing.
