Mbarara police arrests four suspects over PDM Funds
Police in Mbarara district have arrested four people for allaegedly extorting money from Parish Development Model (PDM) program beneficiaries.
The suspects from Itara parish development committee in Rubaya Sub County who are now held at Bwizibwera police station are Valerian Twesigye, Adrine Kyokusiima as treasure, Caleb Karuhanga, and Asaph Beingana as chairperson.
It's alleged that the four suspects have been extorting money from beneficiaries of PDM under the guise of withdraw fees. Mbarara Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Emmy Kateera Turyabagyenyi confirmed the arrest of the four suspects noting that investigations have commenced.
