Police in Nansana Division-Kampala are guarding Kasirye Faizo,26, a resident of Kazinga – Nsumbi village, for attempting to commit suicide by burning, after he was rejected by a married woman.

Police investigations indicate that Kasirye has been stalking, Namakula Nally Deborah, a mother of 3 children while knowing she is married to Ssenabulya Michael. On 24.07.2023, residents found when Kasirye had poured paraffin, set himself on fire. He wanted to kill himself because Namakula, a married woman had rejected his love.

Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga says Kasirye's whole body got burnt, body skin fully peeled off. Enanga says he was rescued by Kyebando police, rushed to Mulago hospital for treatment and will be arraigned in court as soon as he is discharged from hospital.
