Stray dogs loiter in Mbarara, residents want authorities' intervention
Residents of Mbarara City are living in fear following the increasing number of stray dogs loitering the City.
According to the councilor Rwemigiina ward in Mbarara city north division, Robert Twiine said he has received numerous complaints from residents over increase number of stray dogs in their area and that the city veterinary department has been alerted about this matter. He attributed this to the dog owners who cannot afford to feed them and let them to hunt for survival.
Earlier this week, residents of Kakyeka, Kamukuzi ward in Mbarara city were left in grief after one of the residents in the area was attacked and injured by stray dogs as he trekked home.
