Mbarara traders to buy fire fighting truck
Mbarara City Traders have resolved to purchase a fire fighting truck. The decision comes after a recent fire outbreak along Maj Victor Bwana road that in which Timber & Timber products worth billions were destroyed.
In an interview with our reporter, Chairperson of Mbarara City Traders Association, Sezi Mwijuka confirmed that as traders, they resolved to purchase a fire fighting truck since the traders and citizens have often blamed the losses incurred during fires on delayed response of the police fire brigade.
He says that the association aims to raise over 148 million Shillings to procure the firefighting truck within 90 days and per trader within the City is required to pay Shs15,000 to meet the budget.
