Gender Based Violence in Mitooma
Mitooma District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Sharifah Nakintu has called for joint efforts in fighting Gender Based Violence (GBV) so as to pave away of developing societies.
Nakintu made the call yesterday while opening a Gender Based Violence Referral pathway development meeting aimed getting solutions for GBV among people, the meeting was held at peak hotel in Mitooma District under the support of Feed the Future organization in partnership with government of Uganda to curb this vice.
Nakintu noted that most of the families involved in GBV cases are families experiencing low financial challenges hence called for support among people in involving themselves in productive activities.
