Security personnel in Mukono district are hunting for a school headteacher who allegedly defiled a 14 year old school girl and forced her to abort the pregnancy. The suspect has been identified as Joe Jolly Otim, who has been serving as a head teacher for Grace Day Care Orphanage Primary School, in Mukono district.

According to the victim, the suspect called her at his home during holidays in August, he defiled her and gave her Shs. 5000 not to tell anyone about it. The girl says, in September,30, the headteacher called her again, gave her Shs. 5000 to go for pregnancy testing and the tests came out positive.

Otim is said to have convinced the girl with Shs. 60,000 to pay the nurses to carry out the abortion but the nurses rejected the idea and reported the matter to police however, they found he had escaped the arrest. Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga confirmed the incident noting that security agencies are now searching for the suspect who will be responsible for charges of defilement.
