Kiruhura DEO cautions parents against children neglect
Parents in Kiruhura district have been cautioned againts neglecting their responsibilities during this holiday. This holiday being the last one in a year, provides a chance for parents to have enough time with their parents however; it is said some parents tend to be busy and fail to have time for their children.
On this issue, Kiruhura District Education Officer (DEO) Merab Busingye has cautioned parents to take care of their children in every way not neglecting their responsibilities so that they remain in safe conditions for the next first academic term of 2024.
According to DEO Busingye, most children especially girls are exposed to defilement, drug abuse, fornication among other habits that might disrupt their schooling times. She urges parents to create time for their children even when they are having busy schedules during this holiday to avoid such issues that might destroy their children's future.
