Police in Nakasongola District are investigating circumstances under which a pastor died while burning evil spirits. 

Pastor Daniel Naheirwe, 40, Rwandan by nationality died while he was in Wanjuki village in Lwabyata Sub-County on the invite of a resident Jessica Kyohairwe who had requested him to pray for him and remove alleged witchcraft from her home yesterday.

According to the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson Sam Twiineamazima, while burning the alleged witchcraft items, Pastor Daniel suddenly collapsed and died on spot. Twiineamaziima says residents informed police that visited the scene took the body taken to Nakasongola HC IV for postmortem as investigations continue.
