President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has condemned the terror action from militants who killed 10 people in Kamwenge district.
The terrorists suspected to be the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels yesterday attacked people in a bar located in Kitehurizi trading centre in Kyabandara village, Kyabandara parish in Kamwenge sub county in the wee hours of Tuesday. Among the 10 people killed is a female councillor for Kyabandara Parish Banyenzaki Margaret 60.
Commenting on this matter, the president in his statement said that a group of four ADF militants attacked these people and confirmed that there is a young girl who managed to escape from these killers. According to the president, the four killers are the remnants of the Njovu-Kamusu group of 10 that entered Uganda from Democratic Republic of Congo second round, some weeks ago. He said these killers are the group that killed the children of Nyabugaando School, killed the two tourists and their driver and burnt the onion truck in Kasese district.
The president further said two of them were killed in the waters of Lake Edward by the marines and their leader Njovu was injured, captured and he is now facing charges in court.
