School administrators warned on COVID-19 spread
School administrators have been cautioned to take up precaution measures by the Ministry of Health put in place to fight against the spread of COVID-19. This follows the death of 2 people who succumbed to COVID-19 at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital last month which indicated that the disease is still a threat.
Speaking to KC News, the Bushenyi District Health Officer, Dr Edward Mwesigye noted that COVID-19 is still a threat and urged people to always follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) put in place by the Ministry of Health to fight against this disease. Such SOPs include wearing of face masks, washing hands with soap and clean water, practicing social distancing in public among others.
He urged school administrators to make sure the SOPs are followed by learners, staff members and other people in schools in away of fighting the spread of this disease.
