The South Ankole Diocese Bishop Rt. Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has condemned schools that receive students earlier than the set education calendar saying they are vulgarizing the education system of the country.
Speaking to journalists at the sidelines of the four days South Ankole Diocese 9th Annual youth conference at Kyamate secondary school in Ntungamo municipality yesterday, Bishop Ahimbisibwe said the increasing immorality among people may be a result of spending more time at school other than homes and communities.
The Bishop who is also the chairperson of education in the province of the church of Uganda said parents need to think of mentoring their own children and taking them through home chores, prayer and religion if they need to grow responsible people to serve the country better.
The three days youth convention was attended by at least 2500 youths mainly from Ntungamo district and over 800 youths, mainly students, expressed their lives to salvation.
