A teacher at Nyaminyobwa primary school in Kagongi sub-county Mbarara district died in an accident that happened yesterday May 27th.

The deceased identified as Alex Mbeta, a resident of Rwebikonde met his death after the motorcycle he was riding UEF 343R boxer heading to school collided with another motorcycle Reg. No UFR 015H that was on a high speed.

One of the eyewitnesses, Micheal Mugabi who was at the scene said the one who was riding a motorcycle UFR 015H at terrible speed lost control leading to the collision.

Deo Muhwezi the District education officer Mbarara confirmed the report saying it was a black day to the education department. Police visited the scene and the body of the deceased was taken to Mbarara regional referral hospital and the injured ( who was riding a speeding motorcycle) whose name hasn't been established by press time, was rushed to Kagongi health center III for treatment.
