Police in Buhweju District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 17-year-old boy for unknown reasons. The incident occurred on October 18, 2024 at around 11:00 PM and was reported to Police on October 19, 2024.

Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Conrad Mutamba, a resident of Kigango Cell, Nyakishaka Town Council in Buhweju District.

It is alleged that on the night of October 18, 2024, Mutamba returned to his parents' home from an unknown location. He appeared extremely weak and nearly lost consciousness, rendering him unable to speak. His father rushed him to Burere Health Centre III for treatment, but upon arrival, he was pronounced dead.

Kenneth Atwebembeire, a 40-year-old resident of the same area, reported the matter to the police. According to Atwebembeire, the body showed signs of multiple injuries to the head and back.
