Police in Sheema district are holding a man on allegations of murdering a colleague while watching football.
The suspect, Bainomugisha Vincent is alleged to have killed Aineruhanga Jackson, 21, both residents of Rwanyinakahire cell, Sheema Central Division, Sheema Municipality in Sheema District.
Reports indicate that on 3rd Spetember, 2023 while watching the game between Arsenal and Manchester United in the video hall, the suspect Bainomugisha and Aineruhanga developed misunderstandings and the suspect stabbed his colleague in the chest with a sharp Stick killing him instantly. The suspect Bainomugisha (Arsenal fan) and the deceased (who has been a Machester United fan) were all waching the game when they had a brawal. Arsenal won the game with 3 -1.
Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson says Police were informed, rushed to the scene and found Aineruhanga had died. The body of the deceased was conveyed to Kabwohe Health Centre IV pending Postmortem, and the suspect is being detained at Sheema Police Station as investigations continue.
